Unlocking your child's potential
Early Start Parent and Toddler Group
9:30-10:30
The Nest: UP Parent and Toddler Playgroup is a parent-participation, social engagement program for toddler and preschoolers. This program provides support for families who have concerns about their child’s development, are on a waitlist for an autism assessment, or whose child has received an autism diagnosis, but who want parent inclusive and social intervention options.
The playgroup is specialized for children with social communication difficulties or developmental delays and provides quality play activities and experiences to help boost skill development. The program follows UP’s early social communication skills curriculum, based on research supported strategies from the Early Start Denver Model, Early Social Interaction Model, and Project IMPACT. Parents will learn how to implement relevant strategies and will leave each playgroup session with activity ideas to enhance these developmental play skills at home.
