In-Clinic Therapy Programs

A place designed specifically for autistic children to learn, play, and thrive. A place where therapy feels joyful, relationships come first, and every child is celebrated for who they are. We combine evidence-based practices with natural play, meaningful connections, and individualized support to help children build communication, confidence, and independence.

Individual (one-on-one) therapy programs

  • Seeds: In-Clinic Early Start Denver Model Therapy Program ESDM, ABA & Kindergarten Readiness for children 1-5 years
  • Roots: complex or severe behaviour support for children 4+
  • Branches: evidence-based learning for specific skill acquisition using applied behaviour analysis across developmental domains for children 5+

Group therapy programs

  • Sprouts (2.5 – 5 years): Preschool group-based therapy program focusing on communication, social skills, play, emotion regulation, pre-academics, fine motor and classroom readiness skills.
  • Saplings (5-8 years): Group-based therapy program focusing on social skills, emotion regulation, academics, fine motor and classroom success skills.

All of our programming is neurodiversity affirming, trauma informed, and strengths-based.

Behaviour Consultation

Our behaviour consultation program brings compassionate, evidence-based support for your child and family to community settings and programs where they need the support the most. These services include:

  • Preschool/daycare Support & Consultation – observations, classroom/teacher guidance, paraprofessional training & support, and/or attending planning meetings
  • School consultation – school transition supports, IEP meetings, classroom observations, and general educational supports
  • Home-based ABA & ESDM – our team can design and supervise home-based ABA programming and assist with staff hiring and training
  • Parent coaching – individualized coaching sessions to help you support your child’s learning, development, and behaviour across every day routines.
  • Behaviour support – short term support for severe challenging behaviour, toileting, mealtime support, and more in home and community-based settings.
  • Tutoring: support with specific skills

  • You’re concerned about your toddler’s development
  • You’re worried about your child’s social interaction skills
  • Your child doesn’t seem to be communicating with gestures or words like other children
SLTherapy

Speech-Language Therapy

Speech language therapy supports children’s social communication. At UP, we offer speech-language consultation within our early intervention program, so you don’t have to piece together services across multiple providers.

One-on-one speech language therapy sessions are also provided.

SLP Therapy may be for you if:

  • Your child struggles to communicate
  • Your child’s lack of ability to express themselves results in frustration or distress
  • Your child has difficulty speaking clearly in a way that others unfamiliar with the child can understand them
